Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Yaye Abibatou Ba. This is where my blog's name came from, the last sounds of my middle name 'Batu'. I chose this name to highlight and celebrate my Senegalese roots. I fell in love with Arts, specifically fashion and literature at a very early age about six years old. Growing up in a household where both my mom and dad were talented artists has had a big influence on me. I grew up drawing and painting with them, admiring and getting inspiration from their works. By the age of 12, I started designing my own clothes for festivities. My aunt who is a tailor would sew them for me. I remember using my schools breaks to make some fashion sketches. Today that passion of Arts is still in me. It actually defines who i am. I went to college and graduated with the bachelor of Arts in English Literature and French language. Using my love for both fashion and literature, i decided to create a blog with poetic descriptions of my works. Also as a French teacher ,I might add some French there :). Also, this is just a tiny sample of my designs. I am seeking for manufacturers and potential collaborations. I am able to provide fashion sketches and illustrations.
